You are the doer among media technologists. During your training as a media technologist in print processing, you will learn to give newspapers and books what they need again. First of all, you check the printed sheets that come from the print shop and then choose the suitable processing technology for the further process. Before you can really get started, you will be responsible for setting up and configuring the processing systems as part of your training as a media technologist for print processing.
Your main task in training as a media technologist print processing is to safely control and monitor the production machines.
You will learn to set up and configure the processing plants and process control systems and to ensure that the necessary production resources are available. The printed products become finished books, newspapers or brochures.

In book production you will process the sheets coming from printing with cutting, collating and binding units, for example, or in commercial production you will finish brochures with folding and finishing techniques. With test runs you can then determine whether the order requirements are met. Then you start the production process, which you will continuously control and monitor. You also intervene in the event of malfunctions and ensure regular maintenance and servicing of the systems.
